A Shot From The Past

I was recently looking through some images to put an advert together, and came across this image from a few years ago. This was shot at the fabulous Art Deco Midland Hotel, in Morecambe, Lancashire.

This is an example of documentary style photography, completely unposed, in fact we had I believe just taken a few shots of the bride and bridesmaids looking over the stair case, and the bride was going back to meet her guests, with her very cute flower girl following closely in her footsteps.

Often these type of shots lend themselves to black and white processing as the contrast really stands out.

I tend to shoot a combination of documentary style photography and what I would call contemporary wedding photography, that is, I try to make the shots as natural as possible, but I will take group shots, but try and make them a bit more exciting than just a straight line of people, using the surroundings. I will also take shots of the bride and groom, again trying to make them natural, and put the bride and groom at ease, no forced cheesy smiles! Contact me if you llike my style :-) 07900 550231 gavfoto@hotmail.co.uk I cover weddings throughout the NW of England, and further afield if required!
