Meet Gavin — Lancashire Wedding Photographer

Hello, I’m Gavin. I’m an award-winning photographer based in Morecambe, Lancashire, and I photograph relaxed, natural weddings across Lancashire, Cumbria, the Lake District and the North West.

I’ve had a camera in my hands since I was a teenager. Back then, I was developing film and making prints in a makeshift darkroom at the bottom of my parents’ garden. Photography has changed a lot since then, but the thing I love most has not: creating photographs that bring people straight back to a moment, a person or a feeling.

My approach to wedding photography is calm, friendly and unobtrusive. I want you to enjoy your day with the people you love, rather than spend hours posing for the camera. I’ll be there to capture the laughter, happy tears, hugs, dance-floor chaos and all those little moments you may not even notice at the time.

Most of the day, I work in a documentary style—letting things unfold naturally and photographing the real atmosphere of your celebration. I also know that family photographs matter, so I’m always happy to organise the group shots you would like, keeping them relaxed and straightforward so you can get back to your guests.

Whether you are planning a wedding in Lancaster, Morecambe, the Ribble Valley, the Lake District or anywhere else in the North West, I’d love to hear about your plans. I’m also happy to travel further afield.

I photograph people, not just weddings—and I have a particular soft spot for dogs. My old companion Stanley even made an appearance on this page. Alongside weddings, I also offer portrait, headshot and commercial photography for people and businesses across Lancashire.
