I was lucky enough to be chosen to photograph the wedding of Jane and Stuart at The Longlands Inn in Carnforth, Lancashire. Jane had been a bridesmaid at a wedding I photographed a good few years ago so she knew my style of photography and manner on the day, which is always a good start.

The whole wedding was at the Longlands, which makes the photographers job easier, as we do not have to stress rushing between locations. They both had cottages to get ready in, so I headed for Jane's, and David, my second photographer went and spent some time with Stuart before the wedding service.

The wedding service was in The Lapwing Suite, and we photographed the whole service from two different angles. Jane was keen to avoid too many posed/cheesy shots so the vast majority of the time we are in the background just capturing natural shots of the bride and groom and their guests enjoying themselves throughout the day.

There certainly was plenty to photograph on the day as the bride and groom had though of everything in terms of entertaining their guests, they had a singer during the day, a gin bar, singing waiters, Stuart Michaels singing and DJ'ing in the evening, a cartoonist and photobooth, so we were kept busy all day.
