When I meet up with prospective couples to discuss what they want from their wedding photographer one point that often gets discussed are the pre-wedding shots, and whether A. the couple want them or B. what will you photograph, as often the brides don't want photographing without their make up or their hair half done.

It is a personal choice, but I think it could be an opportunity lost if you don't get these shots taken as I normally work with a second photographer, we can cover both the bride and grooms preparation, so they get to see exactly how the other was prior to their Big Day. We never get there too early normally 1.5 to 2 hours prior to the ceremony so most of the brides (and maybe the grooms) hair and make up is done we just capture the finishing touches, but we also have time to shoot details such as the dress, flowers, rings, the groom struggling with his tie and cufflinks!!
