The Wedding of Rebecca and Dan at The Glendower Hotel, Lytham St Annes.
I've been very lapse recently in terms of posting blogs of recent weddings that I have photographed, largely due to the fact if I'm not shooting weddings then I'm editing them!! The editing process does take a lot more time than you would think, your photographer is not only going to spend the 8+ hours shooting your wedding but they will spend countless hours choosing the best photos from the hundreds he or she takes and then editing them, so during the peak wedding season please bear with us!
Anyway back to the wedding of Rebecca and Dan at The Best Western Glendower Hotel in Lytham St Annes, I was booked to photograph this wedding as the couple came to an Open Evening that I attend on the last Wednesday of every month at The Glendower. We discussed exactly what they wanted and it was clear that the photography was going to be a major part of the day, which is great for a photographer!
They also mentioned that they would be interested in a stop motion film and was this something I could do. Whilst I would be taking the vast majority of the still photo's I would get my second photographer David to do the stop motion, but that meant having to get another photographer to be the second photographer. So a quick email to a photographer I had worked with before and we were all set.
The weather forecast was not great in fact it was that windy, that the annual Kite Festival had to be cancelled (go figure)! However with umbrellas in hand we managed to get out and brave the elements to get some lovely shots. We were there for the whole day covering wedding prep, the ceremony, speeches, 1st dance and lots of shots in between. It just goes to show that if the weather isn't ideal, don't let it spoil your day as your photographer will still get some great shots!
